Overview:

Montmorency, a nobleman's son who is obsessed with studying magic and alchemy, attends the Royal Knight Academy in Paris. Surrounded by many knights and aspiring knightesses, including the Duke of Brittany's sister Richemont, he leads a hectic yet fulfilling life. However, following the disastrous Battle of Azincourt, the fate of the Kingdom of France and its inhabitants changes drastically.
As Paris falls and the Knight Academy is closed, Montmorency, now a fugitive alchemist with nothing left, meets the inexplicable maiden Joan of Arc in a village on his escape route...
