"The Pursuit of Happyness" is an American film directed by Gabriele Muccino, starring Will Smith, Jaden Smith, and Thandie Newton. The film is based on a true story about Chris Gardner, an African American investment expert.
The film tells the inspirational story of a struggling salesman on the brink of bankruptcy and separation from his wife, who works hard to fulfill his responsibilities as a single parent, rises to become a stock trader, and eventually a renowned financial investor. The film received a nomination for Best Actor at the 79th Academy Awards.
"The Pursuit of Happyness" was re-released in mainland China on the first day of cinema reopening on July 20, 2020. The official poster was also released.
