Plot Summary:
The story unfolds in contemporary Oslo, focusing on the young and intelligent Julie. At 30, she finds herself at a crossroads in life. Despite her deep love for Axel, a successful architect with whom she has a strong sense of security and happiness, she refuses to have a child with him, as he desires. Determined to start a new life, Julie leaves Axel and moves to Auvland.
